ALIGNGRAM community rules

Please read these rules before creating your account. They protect patient privacy, professional conduct and the quality of our community.

A. Professional & educational purpose

ALIGNGRAM is a professional educational and discussion community for orthodontists, orthodontic residents, dental students, dentists, researchers, faculty and other dental professionals.

ALIGNGRAM is intended for education, discussion, knowledge sharing and professional networking.

ALIGNGRAM does not provide medical diagnosis, individualized treatment recommendations or emergency medical services.

You remain responsible for your professional decisions and must follow applicable laws, regulations and institutional policies.

B. Patient consent & privacy

Do not upload patient-identifiable information.

You must ensure appropriate consent or authorization has been obtained before sharing clinical photographs, videos, cases or other clinical material.

Remove unnecessary identifiers before uploading.

You are responsible for ensuring that clinical material shared on ALIGNGRAM is appropriately anonymized and authorized.

Never upload:

  • Patient name
  • Phone number
  • Personal email
  • Home address
  • Aadhaar number
  • Hospital registration number
  • Medical record number
  • Unredacted case sheets
  • Identifiable medical records
  • Identity documents
  • Screenshots containing patient identifiers

C. Sensitive content

Some orthodontic and dental educational content may contain sensitive or graphic clinical material.

Mark sensitive content appropriately when posting — sensitive posts are shown with a warning and blurred preview in the feed.

Do not upload unnecessarily graphic, disturbing or inappropriate material.

D. Hate & harassment

ALIGNGRAM does not allow the following. You can report violations at any time.

  • Hate speech
  • Targeted harassment
  • Bullying
  • Threats
  • Abusive behaviour
  • Discrimination
  • Targeted humiliation
  • Impersonation intended to harm another person

E. Violence & threats

Legitimate clinical and educational discussion is welcome; threatening or harmful behaviour is not.

  • Threats of violence
  • Encouragement of violence
  • Violent harassment
  • Content intended to facilitate harm

F. Copyright & intellectual property

Only upload content that you created, that you own, that you have permission to use, or that you are otherwise legally authorized to share.

Do not upload copyrighted material without appropriate rights or permission.

G. Misinformation & professional responsibility

Do not intentionally distribute false or misleading information.

Present clinical discussions as educational discussion rather than personalized treatment advice.

Use appropriate professional judgment at all times.

H. Spam & scams

The following are not permitted on ALIGNGRAM.

  • Spam
  • Fake engagement
  • Fraud
  • Scams
  • Phishing
  • Malicious links
  • Misleading advertisements
  • Repeated unwanted promotional content

I. Moderation

You can report posts, comments and profiles. Our moderators and the ALIGNGRAM owner review every report.

ALIGNGRAM may:

  • Remove violating content
  • Issue warnings
  • Restrict accounts
  • Suspend accounts
  • Permanently ban accounts
